I will overwhelm 'legitimate boxer' Paul - Anthony Joshua
Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight round contest which will be streamed live on the streaming platform.
British boxer Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the two fighters confronted each other to promote the upcoming boxing match.
Former two-time world title holder Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive disparity - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Fighter's Mindset
"I'm going to damage his features and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm superior," Joshua, 35 years old, stated.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I intend to really want to cause him pain. That's my intention."
Respectful Interaction
Despite these statements, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically known for his theatrics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul instead targeted former Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "not serious" after Ngannou declined a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at British opponent Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul win.
"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he's present here," the boxer stated.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Opponent
Despite saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he stated.
Paul's Background
Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.
He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
Still, the inexperienced fighter is still one of boxing's biggest money-making draws, regularly earning massive financial rewards.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28-year-old forecast a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would prevent the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly under discussion for two years from now.
"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.
